9 Week Update

“To describe my mother would be to write about a hurricane in its perfect power. Or the climbing, falling colors of a rainbow.” —Maya Angelou

How far along? 9 Weeks and 3 Days
Total weight gain/loss: I am hoveirng around 118-120lbs which is about 6-8lbs heavier than my pre-pregnancy weight.
Maternity clothes?  When I tell you that I cannot wear any pants that are not leggings, I am not lying to you. I’m not bumping yet but I am just seriously nonstop bloated. With it being winter I am wearing a lot of leggings, baggy shirts so I don’t have to wear a bra and pashminas/shawls/scarves. I do have maternity underwear in my cart on Amazon. Haven’t pulled the trigger yet though.
Stretch marks? Girl, I was born with stretch marks all over. My butt and knees and inner thighs have had stretch marks since high school. I’ve been aquaphor and cocoa buttering up to hopefully avoid any more stretch marks. So far so good, but I haven’t expected any since the bump hasn’t appeared yet.
Sleep: Can't get enough of it. Truly. The hardest part of being pregnant so far has been the fatigue. People can empathize with you when you tell them you’re nauseous, because everyone remembers the last time they were nauseous or threw up. And it was awful. But when you just say that you’re “tired,” well damn girl its’ 2018, EVERYBODY is tired.
This fatigue is seriously on another level though. I can’t even explain. I can never get enough sleep. Ever.
Best moment this week: My best friend took me to see Jason Mraz and get tacos. That was so much fun.
Have you told family and friends: Yes. Everyone is very excited. Everyone wants us to have a boy. Everyone thinks its gonna be a beautiful baby. Everyone has a TON of advice.
Movement: I haven’t felt anything yet but he/she was very active during the ultrasound we had.
Food cravings: Nothing crazy in particular. I just get very very hungry, eat a little bit and get very full, and then I’m hungry again like an hour later.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Man it feels like everything gives me like a dull sense of nausea. I smelled Derek’s decanter yesterday and almost puked.
Have you started to show yet: My mom and Derek say I have a little pooch. I’m convinced I’m just bloated and fat.
Leakage: oh God I’m going to leak?!
Gender prediction: I think I had a dream last night that we had a girl but I couldn’t remember when I woke up. We are praying for a boy. My family is nothing but females so we’re praying for a change of pace.
Labor Signs: Holla at me in a few months.
Belly Button in or out? I have a weird belly button as it is so I’m curious to see what happens to it. It’s like an outie/innie? Stay tuned.

Wedding rings on or off? No wedding ring just yet but my engagement ring does get tight by the end of the day.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Girl not even moody just mean and angry. Sorry, Derek.
Weekly Wisdom: I am not the first woman to have a child and I will most certainly not be the last. Almost everyone does this so I can do it, too!
Milestones: Every morning that I wake up and I haven’t lost the baby is truly a miracle in my book. I thank God for this gift.
